BAPTISM IN THE JORDAN RIVER

As Jesus is baptized in the Jordan River we too are baptized in the Light of Christ.  Our priests confer Baptism, a sacrament of Initiation, upon the faithful and new life is given to the Church.

 

MANIFESTATION AT THE WEDDING OF CANA

Jesus performs his first miracle during the wedding of Cana.  Our priests witness the sacrament of Marriage for a new couple united as husband and wife.

 

PROCLAMATION OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Jesus proclaimed the Good News to the people.. A priest carries on this work as he proclaims the Gospel and teaches the Word to the people of God

 

TRANSFIGURATION OF JESUS

Jesus was transfigured on the mountain with Moses and Elijah.  During the administration of the sacrament of Holy Orders, a man is transfigured and ordained into the royal priesthood.

 

INSTITUTION OF THE EUCHARIST

Jesus changes bread and wine into his body and blood and offers the sacrifice he is to complete on the cross.  A priest renews this sacrifice at each Mass.  This is the center of our faith.
